Going Through The Darkness
The Pitch:
Sometimes we may wonder why we still face constrictive conflicts of all kinds -- financial, emotional, physical -- when we are working continuously to improve our spiritual connection and do good for the world. Perhaps we even feel as if we've lost our spirituality, stuck in a square room with no windows and no way out. Confusion and discouragement easily arise from what appears to be a lack of progress.
When things feel tight, it is easy to panic and spin our wheels mentally in an effort to find out why things are the way they are. We feel an urge to reject the feeling of constriction, to deny its place in the body and mind.
The Possibility:
Acceptance is the key to appreciation for the way things work. There is nothing we need to do at this time other than to be patient and perservering. We need to be aware that we are shifting from one stage of consciousness to another, and the more we surrender to the experience, the more quickly and easily we will move through the tightness. Indeed, surrender is the only possibility that leads to a fast transition since rejection and denial merely create more conflict.
If we trust the universe, we can find peace within ourselves when we endure the contractions. We can look to the natural world for inspiration as we see that all beings surrender to the process of birth.
Like a caterpillar that confines itself to a tiny cocoon before it grows wings and flies, we are experiencing the darkness before the dawn.
